Known as STNLOW (pronounced "sittin-low", like a lowrider), is a cut paper artist based in Austin, Texas. His work combines the detail techniques and cultural symbolism of traditional Mexican Papel Picado and Aztec paper cutting, with the bold, graphic style and visual impact of modern stencil street art. Innovating on both process and form, STNLOW reworks traditional street art stencil processes by using the cutout pieces typically discarded by traditional stencil artists to create layered, hand-built artworks. Literally bringing street art off the wall!

Growing up in Houston, TX, a city shaped by multicultural influence, and with family roots in South Texas and Mexico,Thomas sees his art as both a personal expression and a continuation of his cultural roots. His craft is rooted in heritage, connecting traditions of the past with his own modern interpretations.
