This piece of Frida Kahlo is more than an homage—it’s a reflection of my own life. Frida’s ability to transform pain into beauty deeply resonates with me. Her resilience mirrors my own journey through solitude and struggle.

Like Frida, I’ve channeled loneliness into creation. I grew up surrounded by strong women who taught me perseverance, even as my childhood home echoed with arguments and tension. Their strength shaped me, giving me the resolve to turn hardship into art.

The patience I’ve developed through life’s trials finds its outlet in my process. Hand-cutting paper is meticulous, grueling even, but to me, it’s meditative. Each cut is a quiet rebellion against suffering—a way to shape my pain into something meaningful.
